“HICHKI IS A FEEL GOOD AND EXTREMELY SENSITIVE FILM”, WROTE KARAN JOHAN
After a short break Rani Mukherji is making come back with the movie named ‘Hichki’. The film directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. Hichki is all set to hit screens next Friday on March 23.
Rani’s good friend and ace filmmaker Karan johan was one of the few lucky ones to watch the film ‘Hichki’ at a special screening and he has posted his verdict on Yash Raj Film’s latest offering on his social media account.
Karan says, “Hichki is a feel good and extremely sensitive film. It addresses a disorder with dignity and strength. Rani Mukerji is the soul and life of this film! She is absolutely brilliant!!!! And reminds you of her exceptional talent again.” The filmmaker further reveals how the film gives you a kick of nostalgia. “Hichki takes you back to school and gives you life lessons in such a nuanced and beautiful way! Well done Sidharth P Malhotra for directing this film with such an assured hand and with such sensitivity! Must watch!!!”
Rani plays Naina Mathur, who has a nervous system disorder and she faces discrimination from society that firmly believes she cannot be a teacher because of her disorder. The film essentially is about staring down at challenges that life throws at one and ultimately winning over them, apart from being a subtle reminder about discrimination that exists in our society.
